RAMail User Editor v1.0
Copyright 1991 by Randy Blackmond
The RAMail User Editor allows you to make changes to your users' RAMail
configurations.
When loading the editor, you must pass the name of the RAMail config file
on the command line, e.g.
RAMUSRED RAMAIL.CFG
The editor must also have access to your MESSAGES.RA file. It will check
for the RA environment variable for the path to MESSAGES.RA. If the RA
variable is not set, it will look in the current directory. If it cannot
locate the file, a message will be displayed and the program will halt.
You can pass the path and name of MESSAGES.RA on the command line to
the editor, e.g.
RAMUSRED RAMAIL.CFG C:\RA\MESSAGES.RA
Once loaded, the editor will show the first record of the RAUSER.DAT file.
You can scroll forwards and backwards through the file using the PgUp and
PgDn keys.
The fields displayed on the first screen straightforward. The Board Select
field will branch to a subscreen listing all of your message boards. The
change the user's configuration for a particular message board, simply
press Enter when the desired message board is highlighted (using the arrow
keys). A small subwindow will appear containing four toggle fields. These
fields are Mail To You, Mail To All, All Mail and Your Mail. The Your Mail
toggle refers to messages entered by the user.
The spacebar is used to changed the status of the highkighted field. Escape
exits the subwindow and returns to the Board selection screen. NOTE that
a change made to any toggles will not take effect unless Enter or an arrow
key is pressed before pressing Escape.
To return to the main screen from the Board selection screen, simple press
Escape.
To leave the program, press Escape from the main screen.
